WOW! Everything looks great! I saw a neat trick the other day that I am going to try as soon as I can. Go to a home store and get a large (or medium, or small,) vent cover. It works perfectly as a desktop place to store stamps upright.

I would have so much fun with that Cloud 9/Heidi Grace stuff!

Wow! Your Raks look amazing! =)
I really like your scrap space, especially how you have a lot of your created projects on display. I think that seeing work I've completed is very motivating.
I love your ribbon hutch. You could alternate which prima jars you have on display on the open shelf...the shelf without a door. (Hope that makes sense)
Thanks for sharing your space and offering the Rak. =)

Wow. Looks like you're already organized! At least more so than I am! I like to use baby food jars to store my eyelets and brads by color or manufacturer. I also have larger jars for ribbons and buttons. Love what you've done!

beccamom said...

Wow, this looks great! I don't know if you need one, but my favorite organizational item is the clip-it-up (circular)rack by Simply Renee. It holds a bunch of embellishments and keeps them where you can see them.

Anonymous said...

What great prizes and girl you are totally organized!!! I'm not sure I could give you a tip but rather I could take tips from you.

One of the best things I ever did was organize my embellishments (such as ribbons, fibers, twill, etc.) by color into floss organizer boxes. I have all my eyelets together, all my brads together. Just makes it easier to find what I am looking for in a particular item or color.

Come check out my blog for a freebie that is for everyone!!

Oh wow... not sure I have any organizational tips to add... I am in awe of your room already. For me, I am loving the peg board systems, now I just need to talk my DH into letting me get one. Also, I find that I like to keep a basket of my new stuff at my fingertips that I can just flip through and be inspired by.

Erin Gudge said...

WOW! You have an amazing space already!

I love jars of flowers and ribbon on display, so maybe you could put a shallow shelf up with the jars on it, that would free up some space in your cupboard to stash the "less pretty" stuff.

For your magazines, you can take a 3 ring binder and decorate it up with the titles of the magazines, cut out the pages you want to keep, and slip them into page protectors and store them in the binders. They will take up much less room that way. I keep telling myself to do that, but I never do!

My best tip for anyone is just to put things in the places that work for YOU. Convenience is huge for me! Great space, though! I wish I had that much room!

Trinkapuppy said...

Great place! I'm very jealous! I'm still scrapping at my dining room table....have to clean everything up for every meal (although, maybe that's not such a bad thing!)
One thing I've done that helps me keep organized, and actually USE all those scraps I keep making...I have all my paper stored in vertical organizers by ROYGBIV, black, gray, white, brown, pink (just like vertical better, and those colours seemed better by themselves than mixed into the ROYGBIV) anyway, I take a page protector, and slide it in with each colour, and then sort my scraps by colour into those page protectors.
Make sense?
=0 )

Oh my goodness I need that room. I was thinking the other day how I would love someone to come into my house and redo my scrapbook stuff.

My tip isn't really for scrapbooking but I go through my children's toys at least once a month and purge the toys that they don't use anymore. It is usually just happy meal toys but this way I organize there stuff too and they get excited about it too.

I would love to win your drawing. Please count me in. Thanks for showing us your room. i am on my way to check your ebay auction!

Give YOU organizational advice for how to make YOUR room more organized? Oh my god, you are the goddess of organized from the looks of those pictures! You rock!

But if I need to give a tip to get entered... ummm... I love my label-maker! Keeps me from having to remember what I put in all those boxes!

OOOH! this looks so nice and organized!

............

I'm sorry, thats me being shocked by the amount of crafts you have. *faints*

How in the world am I to give you great organizing advice when my own craft room (ha, if I had one) would never look that great!

My advice... KEEP IT CLEAN, and as yo' Mama says: Always put things back when you're done. ;)

Good enough?

heidi @ ggip said...

That is the most organized room ever! Forget my crafting--my stuff is in the back of a closet! The way I would be better organized would be to have it in a room where I can get at it!

Please enter me for your contest! Thanks so much!

love scraping things! and congrats on your new baby! thats so exciting I hate the waitting game! I love meeting my babyes lol

I also keep alot of my stuff in drawers! its great when the kids get a bit bigger! That way my 2 and 1 yr olds cant get into everything!

It looks like you are already organized! What do you need us for? LOL!

I like to make page kits so that I'm I'll ready to go to crops. I buy a box of the 2 gallon ziploc bags and put everything for 1 page in each bag. That way I can just grab and go!

I honestly cannot think of anything to suggest to you, your space is often. You have SO much stuff & it is organized nicely. I don't think I have half that stuff & nowhere near that organized. The biggest organizational thing that I like is the scraprack. My biggest scrapbook tip is not to buy more then you actually need & occasionally do a no buy where you have to either go x amt of days before shopping again or even better do X amount of pages before buying anything new. Well enter me please, your RAK's are awesome!

Rachel said...

Wow! Your room looks awesome. I would love to craft in your room! When can I come over??? :) Please sign me up for this giveaway.

I am a scrapbooker and would love to win this prize. (yay!)

Your space really does look great to me! It is a dream of mine to have a crafting space I can call my own.

Betsy said...

Lovely room. I guess my best tip is just to put it back after use. Really I am not to organized. I like lists too.

melita said...

You're room looks awesome! I was just wondering how far it is from your work space to where all the paper and stamps are. Also, I couldn't tell how you organized your paper. I have always been told that paper should be stored flat and albums standing up. The only other thing I can think of is to put your scraps next to the Cricut so that if you ever just need a small piece to cut something out of, you have it right there. Thanks for letting us have a chance at the RAK!

Anonymous said...

Love your room. I guess my tip would be use vertical space. If you have a wall that you can hang shelves on go up as high as you can to the celing. Put stuff up high that you would like to keep but dont use alot and display items. Than what you use on the lower ones. Please enter me into your giveway Thanks

melanie said...

beautiful room!!
One way I like to organize pieces of scrap paper, is to put all the little pieces into mason Jars by color and line them all up nicely on a shelf. That way, if I need just a little scrap I can find it by color. This works great for fabric pieces too, if you like to applique.

Amy ~ (Life's Small Treasures) said...

Great JOB! One tip I have is use CD cases (you know the one that holds 50-100 the cylinder ones)well it has a post up the middle. Put your ribbon on there it keeps them neat and free from dust!

Please enter me into your contest. Thanks, Amy

Wow, talk about organization. I am impressed! Please sign me up for your drawing, thanks. :)

Wow! That looks like so much fun. You have a lot of great stuff and look pretty well organized. My favorite organizing system is the Creative Options organizer that keeps all my stuff mobile and in one place!

Anonymous said...

I am not sure I can offer any more organization to your stuff tha nyou already have but one thing I like to do is take small baby jars and keep all my eyelets, brads, etc in there. Then I stack them and keep them in a nice little basket.

Anonymous said...

Count me in, please!

I can't really think of an organizational tip for your room. It looks great to me! It's certainly more organized than my stamping supplies!

KarenW said...

UHH. . . I don't think I can improve on your organization. I only have a couple of cases to stash my stuff in but I'm dreaming of a room. I would love to be included in your giveaway. Thanks!

Its a great space !! Love the stamp shelves....I think I will do something similiar !!
For my magazines, I trim the binding off...and have 6 spiral bound together ! Then I have 2 larger books for the year instead of many ! Or you can take them apart and only save the things you would refer back too..saves space that way too...They can be bound at Kinkos, or most printing places !

Thanks for sharing...No wonder you can be so creative !!

Mama Said Sew said...

Wow, that is quite a space!

I am probably not the best person to be giving organizational tips. I would LOVE to be organized, but seriously lack the space. My craft stuff is in baskets, boxes and bags. In two different closets and some in the garage (been there for at least two years)!

My only tip is the old addage: A place for everything and everything in it's place. Now, if I could just figure out where everything's place is!

Lissete said...

Your studio is lovely! I LOVE those large jars. Please count me in for your great giveaway!

Kacey said...

You are very organized, so it really doesn't seem like you need any tips! But, since I'm required to leave one...
I did not read through all of your comments, so someone may have already said this, but you could put dowel rods across the inside of your wooden cabinet to hang the ribbon. That way you could always see what you have and trim what you need without digging through.

Amico Dio said...

Please count me in! God bless! I organize everything by color and theme vs. like items since that is how I would use them... together I mean!

Oh my! Your room looks fabulous! Wow!
Hmm ... a tip ... boy, I don't know ... do you have a caddy with the little things you use everytime to place on your desk - you know, one tape runner, a ruler, a pencil, the little things you know you will use each time that can just be in that basket ready to go? I can't tell from the picture and you may already have something like that set up!

Now, go to my website http://journeyof1000stitches.blogspot.com and enter my 3 current contests (with 1 coming thursday and Friday!)

Also, I'm starting a collection of etsy links on my blog, so make sure you go to that post and add your etsy shop to the list! =)

So count me in on those giveaways, yes I do digi but I'd just looove to try my hand on hybrid!

I LOVE your scrapping room! My recommendation (that I think I saw in a scrapping magazine) is to group things by color. Also, to keep a little notebook of ideas and plans for future pages.

I'm sure these things are so basic that you've already done them!! :)

Anonymous said...

Your room looks pretty organized as it is! I would group the stamps by category... which you've probably already done... and put the seasonal ones in chronological order. You know, first the New Year/snowy ones, then Valentines/hearts, etc.

Your studio looks great! You should be giving us the organization tips. My tip is for shelves, shelves and more shelves. One can never have too many shelves.

Melissa said...

Your space is far more organized than mine, and I don't know what suggestion I could possibly offer. My newest idea--which I should have tried long ago--is to keep a small wastebasket right near my chair when I work. Bits of trash go directly into the basket, so I don't have a big mess to clean up at the end of a session. Basic, I know! :)

KaylaC said...

You have everything very organized. Great job. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks

Anonymous said...

WOW - you are very organized! I would love to have a scrapbooking room somday! I would suggest buying a window treatment pole (one that you can lift the pole off of the end holders) and place all of your ribbons on it. This way it's easy to add ribbon and see it/use it as well. Thanks, Amy. designbyamy at hotmail dot com

My jaw is open in sheer amazment! The only thing i would do for my own personal self would be to try to cover some of it up. I have a harder time being creative when there is so much to look at. However, some people don't think about all the great things they have unless they are right there in view. I think any of us crafty women would be like a kid in a candy store in your fabulous room! :)
Please include me and thanks for sharing!

Wow, you are so organized...I'm getting lots of hints and tips just looking at your photos! I only have one small closet of scrapbooking stuff and it is a huge mess. I need to organize...

Anonymous said...

I don't know about a way to organize your scrapbooking/stamping stuff any better, but the best thing (organizationally speaking) we did at our house was to institute a family closet. The kid's rooms are much tidier with the clothes NOT in them. ;)

My only tip would be to change how you have your ribbon. Personally I would always need the ribbon that is in the bottom of the jar and would have to dump it all out to get to it. I have some little clear containers that have holes all around (found them at Wal-Mart in the plastics are of Housewares for about a buck each). I ran a dowel rod through them with the spools on them and fed the ribbon out the front so that I can just pull the ribbon I want out. It took a little time to get them all on the spool and fed through the front, but it has more that paid for itself by saving time later. Great Giveaway and Great Room!

Wow, that room looks amazing! My only tip would be for the closet...have you seen the Elfa closet organizing tools at The Container Store? I think your room looks really great - I am jealous that you have a whole room for stuff & tons of great product to keep in there. One thing that I really loved are the clear jars to hold things. One thing I noticed that may help you is in the first picture it looks like there are three containers/objects that are blocking some of the stamps. Maybe moving those somewhere else will give you easier sight & access to all of your stamps. I'm so excited that your drawing is still open, I missed it earlier this week. Thanks!
