My Mothers day gift for my Mom

This was my 1st clear album.. I have been so intimidated ..I am not sure why I think because of the both sides thing. So what I did was stamp on the clear pages--hey it looks the same both sides..no mess up... and used the template from where I punched out these pages to trace on the patterned paper I used then cut it out and Whaa Laa..and for those of you wanting to try ..Mom looks the same any way you use it... haaa..yeah you probably already knew that... Thanks for looking.. Don't tell my Mom what she is getting. I think she will love it.. I put some pictures of my Grandmother who died April 10 of last year... so I know there will be tears, she really misses her.

BACK PORCH MEMORIES

These are my beach Babies..could possibly some of the cutest babies in the whole wide world.This was in June of last year in Panama City Beach, FL. I made this Layout for the American Crafts challenge of the week. The challenge was to use their Zing embossing powder for the background of the Layout...well so I did. Also here is the list of all the products I used:

Okay so I am sooooooooooo totally EXCITED about this..My first Evah Blog Hop... I had so much fun making my project, well actually its a card..umm with a lot of detail. Sometimes I get carried away... but I have just recently found these stamps and fell sooo inlove with them..They are so cute!!! {actually I ordered last monday and I had them by friday}--very quick shipper she is...{okay did that just sound like Yoda..lol}

So here is my card...this is how it will look when received . I used Bo bunny ribbon, October afternoon letter stickers, and used a Fiskars border punch for the water.

Here is the overhead view of Anya and Ian catching some rays out on the beach...are they not cute.. I think I created this because its seems I have beach fever this week, and really wishing I was there. So there swimsuits are made of ribbon, and the beach towels are made from Core'dinations card stock..distressed to the max (wadded, razor edged, inked). The background foliage is from Stampin' up stamps*** See Jessica I told you in my comment about the new ideas --beach stuff...**wink wink...please make them...please please please{and yeah.. I am begging..not that I have anything against stampin up..I just want Anya beach stuff..I KNOW it will be sooooooooo cute}




Yeah..I think I got carried away with the pictures, but I was trying to show how demensional it is. okay I know this is my baby.. but I am soooooooooo proud of it that I came up with this. My umbrella was made from a circle , I used my bone older to crease my edges to make it look like a umbrella(this wasn't so easy) then cut white panels to go on there to look like the ones you see on the beach. and used a skewer for the post.

Next up...did you know Jolly Green Giant has had another kid..a girly sprout.."Sproutette" and she is wanting you to come to dinner..Do you think you can make it?...lol ..doesn't she look just like her brother."Sprout"... He is a teenager now.. Still no word of who the mother is ....

Just a quick note to wish everyone a Happy Easter..hope everyone has a great one!! The Easter Bunny came a day early here..since I have to work tomorrow...we are going to have a egg hunt later in the backyard then maybe out for a bite to eat at Cheddars...YUMM!!!

My Lil' Gardener... an American Crafts Challenge

How cute is he? This was him testing his garden sprayer..he was soooooooooooooo excited. I made this Layout for the American Crafts challenge on their blog "Studio" and the challenge was to use Backyard and Spring & Summer collection on a page. So my supplies I used are:
~~Paper~~ spring & summer {preserves, & saucer} backyard {solid side of tweet}, & craft colored cardstock, and a green piece of textured cardstock
~~Elements~~cricket buttons
~~mini brads silver
~~Thickers-root beer float
~~ribbon ~stripes of spring & summer collection
~~Clubhouse foam {arrows, & saw blade flowers}
~~ yellow in the loop ribbon (daisy D's I think)

I distressed this thing to the max... so I debated and you know how we all protect our paper and are careful not to even bend a corner..well the striped paper I..I .. are you ready for this..I wadded it up over and over.. I will have to admit the first time around it was hard then it felt great.. then I sanded and ripped and inked and... and ... I sooooo loved the way it turned out.. I am a big distresser anyway but this was way cool.. Hope you may try this on your next Layout..its a good stress reliever.
~~~to make the flower I used my slice to cut out a 4" scalloped circle, and a 3 1/2" circle
~~ Punch 8 circles 1 3/8" fold them in half , open up then fold in half again so it is scored in quarters..fold in half and use your score marks and fold 1 quarters lip back..then again on opposite side, then open and fold the quarters back in on itself. The very outer edge is another circle with a slither of a moon cut out of it and put on the edge of the petal. I sanded the heck out of the petals. I hand cut my leaves on the stem..folded them up , inked, and sanded. The stem is hand cut as well out of the Saucer paper.

So as I was doing this Layout I did not even realize how much craft crafts products I have.

My week at a glance

greetings to my blog peeps...hope you haven't been washed away... I am thinking my yard may be deep enough to swim in if anyone wants to take a cool dip. .... so its been raining and storming up here in White House...obviously by my intro.. ok I have discovered I am a rambler arn't I? ok ok don't shout your answer at me...I can't help it. Any who these are pictures from a beautiful day 2 days ago..it was pretty yesterday morning too. Miss Bella Boo loves to swing she doesn't even care if her brother is pushing her or at least trying... he wanted to swing so bad he couldn't stand it , but he is to big for this swing.. I think we will get them a swing set for their birthday.. I know it is at the end of the summer but well will see.







Looky what I got in the from the UPS man yesterday..my slice...OMG I sooooooooooooooo love it!! Me and mr.slice have been trying to figure each other out.. I did try to cut with the bottom casing on once..even after reading 3 times to make sure it was off.. it was okay though..look at the fun words and shapes..oh the possibilities are endless.. I get so gaga over stuff like this don't I..lol..Thanks so much Danielle!!!!!.. and in case you forgot her blog {http://www.lifeonelayoutatatime.blogspot.com/ } she is now giving away a bind it all..go check it out.. I am proof cool stuff really happens. I will never forget this. EVAH!!!!!!!!
hmmm okay so while I was waiting on my cool present to arrive I decided to label all my stuff I rearrange my area last week ...I know you all are gonna think I am crazy... I am so super funny about this but i wanted to make my slice its own perfect spot and I needed to do a little anal organizing too..ok shut up I know you all re talking about me... umm maybe those are the voices in my head LOL.. okay so I just took more pictures but I am gonna put them in my side bar..so look over there>>>>>>up towards the top>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

I know CRAZY right that I did this.. I made lots and lots and even did my closet.. I used my fiskars hand punches to make them nice and scalloply--yes thats a word because I just made it up. peace out and Have a great day...
