here is my challenge for the Copic Creations landscape challenge, also Paper Issues you were supposed to create a background of some sort of landscape or use paper (for the Paper issues one)..me being me chose the beach or Ocean. I used High Hopes Myron Monkey's Heart Balloon, and sentiment "Let's Monkey around", and cuttlebug embossing plate, 3 brads from American Crafts, and Pink Paislee artisan tape.
I did this for the weekly icopic challenge..as well as High Hopes. This will be the first time I have ever entered for both of them. It is a really cool place and they have a store if you want to check them out.

Here are my brainiacs this morning... they are all addicted to the computer. Just look at them.
My little Charlee is 6 weeks old this week..time is flying by, I go back to work on Aug 18, wow it went by to fast. Bishops birthday is Thursday on his 1st day of school..thats not cool..but I don't think he minds. We go to his open house on wed from 3-6. We are not sure when Bella starts hoping we will find out then too. I have been running again trying to get in shape and tone up and lose a little weight...but it is soooooooo hot..running yesterday liked to have killed me. ok so thats all for now.

Good Evening! Well I can hardly believe it but I will be celebrating my 1 year anniversary on my blog!! Yea me! Now technically I started a blog wayyyyyyyy before that, but I didn't really "Blog" KWIM. I had a couple of sporadic post but thats about it. Anyways, 1 year and 200+ followers later here I am still steady blogging. I love it. My friend Lisette and I started about the same time. She was my inspiration to start and she has also been my enabler the entire way. Meaning, without her, I probably would have that new car I want/need and I probably could have squeezed a few extra vacations in this year!!! But I was blessed with daily emails to check this blog or that online store out to see all this crazy cute stuff that I just couldn't pass up. I have continued to blog because I need an excuse on why I bought over 100 magnolias in less than a year...and 250 copics...and...you see where this is going??? lol Thank you Lisette! LOL I love all my card making supplies!!!
I truly have enjoyed blogging and I love all the friends (close and faraway) that I have come across via blogland. That is why it has been so much fun!! I also love and appreciate all the comments that come my way. Crafters are a great bunch of ladies and because of that I want to spread some love via BLOG CANDY!

Here is a layout I did for the layout sketch challenge on the Bo Bunny blog [ click here to go there}. I used Bo Bunny papers , and cut some images from the love bandit line , and a journal block also. Letters are Thickers. It hurts me everytime I see this picture, her eyes turned black and everything. I just knew they would have to do a crainy or something after she calmed down she vomited all over the both of us as we were getting out of the car( bad sign), but her nose was not even broke..thank goodness. You can barely see her scar now. Thanks for looking!

My Mommy

I am not sure where to begin, but to those who don't know I lost my Mommy on July 30, 2010 around 11:00 pm, I cant even explain the hurt in my heart. As I sit here and write this there is tears falling from my eyes. I want to scream out and just cry. My heart has been ripped out and stomped on. I loved her so much, I was always her baby girl and I always will be, she said. I want her to tell me bye, haunt me talk to me something, I need to know she is okay. I never believed in ghost, but now i want to try..is this crazy?? she always did. I am too young for this and so was she...this all gives me the true meaning of live for today. My favorite quote is "Dream as if you will live forever, live as though you will die today" by James Dean..this makes so much more sense to me now. I thought I knew what this meant I didn't. I bought 2 bracelets , One to put on her arm and one for me to wear everyday, and it says "May the Lord bless you and keep you.." it has a small purple stone and made from black braided leather. I hope she know I put this on her and that we will somehow bee connected by this forever. I don't know how I can make this pain go away, I hope she knew she meant a lot to me and and that I loved her, there will never be another person that probably loved me more, I know Ronnie loves me but this love that I talk about that you have for your children I cant even tell you..I know my children mean everything in the world to me, and that is such a strong bond that a mother has for her children nothing can break it.
On the day of her burial, I knew we didn't have anyone to speak so Charles got up and spoke from his heart and a couple of verses from the bible..those were the sweetest words and I hope that she heard them. I wasn't planning on speaking because I am so afraid to get up in front of people, but after Uncle Mike got finished, something stood me up on my 2 feet and I found myself standing in front of everyone, without a planned word to say, I was so scared so I just pretended I was kinda talking to her. I think she was willing me to do it, because she knew I would have regretted it later. She has a nice spot in Beech Cemetery up on a hill under the shade of some trees. Charles has reserved the plot next to her where they will be together again eventually. She had the most beautiful flowers, I know she would have loved them, Her casket was also as beautiful as one can be. I hope she is resting peaceful up on that hill.

sorry my blog peeps...not sure where the last 2 months went.. I am still alive..we didnt float away with the floods we had, we did make a trip to the ER one night, Bella fell hit the stone & metal coffee table across the bridge of her nose and eye...totally freaked out ...I thought we were gonna have to do a crainy ..but when we arrived she vomited everywhere ..literally me & her were dripping standing in the ER...did a CT scan..she was okay nothing broke either..Thank you God for that..then she got 5 stitches .. and as of know it has healed up nicely but no out in the sun for 6 months w/o a hat & sunscreen..my poor lil'punkin.
umm what else me & my friends Jen and April went to Myrtle beach for a short visit to a scrapping retreat, Jen drove we had a good time until hwe heard what was happening back here..but no national news we heard it from facebook..how weird is that, we were supposed to come back in on Sunday late but decided to stay until morning to leave so we could she where to go and since all the interstates were messed up, thank goodness we did..because we had a blow out.. but with the trusty knowledge that my Dad made me change all the tires on my car before i turned 16.. I knew how..so somewhere on FB they video it and I am changing the tire..lol..

...other new Shelby will have his Graduation this friday i believe, Go Shelby!!

umm scrapped about 6 pgs at the retreat and a few cards..but need to start cranking out alot more..been practing my coloring, I think I am getting better..but definitietly miss my girls at the Stamp night at the Church in Hermitage ..I am coming next month dont care what plans, or what comes up.....I AM COMING!!

okay as always bad blogger here...so here are some updates...
went to Craft-n- camp on Feb 19-21..had a great Time with April.
went to the Occupational therapist last friday with Bella ...she wants her to get it once a week.
Bishop had his 1st dentist appointment last week..he had no cavities..but cried the whole time and on the way home..don't blame him..I hate the dentist too.
Got a new Droid Eris phone..it is high tech..and I have lots of trouble using the phone part of it..but it does everything but clean my house....lol..but love the twitter part of it!!!
I also got a new laptop..I love it..after being without for a while..it is soooo great to be on it whenever I want. I made like 14 layouts and 3 cards at craft-n-camp.. I will take pictures soon I promise. thats all for now..

So it snowed here starting about 1 pm yesterday and well its still going, These little ones had the best time, they didn't even want to come in and gloves started falling out boots too. After breakfast we all suited up and made out marks all over the yard, yep it was a family event..I wanted to make a snowman but after the first snow ball with my bare hand I decided not too..umm it was really cold.

ok . Bella has turned Gangsta..she joined a gang at school. called the C-critters.....JUST KIDDING.this so cracked me up..Bella has been learning at school about winter clothes..so she has been wearing gloves around for the last week..but tonight I look up and she has this on tooo funny...and she is still wearing it now. She has been doing well..she said to her speech therapist today "want this?" as she was holding up her calculator ..which is great progress..she blew me a kiss the last 2 days also..yay!! go Bella!!! Also in the last couple of weeks she has discovered bacon...and she says it with a deep growling voice...(actually if you remember the episode of that 70'ies show where the father has a heart attack..and can't eat foods like that well Topher Grace starts saying it over and over and eating it in front of him-thats how she says it) it is crazy funny...she is starting to show signing too..and she said "juice " tonight. So lots of good things with her..and Bishop is better as well and havent done a breathing treatment in the last 2 weeks. okay off to put Bella to bed "its a school night".

seems like it has been so long since I have crafted took pictures or anything.. We have all had the funk here at The Mayo Household...and it has been just that..we have been out of commission for a whole week we missed, and although I still cant taste, smell or halfway hear at least I can breathe and so can the babies. So I felt the need to post today.. since i am feeling better and even going to work tonight and feeling good about it..So I really havent had the chance to make Christmas cards ..so so sorry I said something about it last night..Ronnie told me it was too late..oh well sorry folks i will try to be better next year..how cheesy will it be to send an email out..oh well better than nothing to wish everyone to have a Merry Christmas!

Yesterday Ronnie didnt have to go to work, so we got up around 7 amhe cooked breakfast and just hung out together, it felt so good outside that we took Bishop out, was gonna take Bella but she had passed out in her bean bag watching pooh. So me & Daddy and Bishop blew bubbles, anf play a little football..which he loved

then I made this last night for the challenge on their blog this is a Ketto stamp by stamping Bella, my friend, Angela {click here for her blog}who I met last month let me stamp her. Check out her blog she does amazing work. I know not the norm for Christmas colors but it is the pink paislee line Tinsel town.
I am hoping to hang out with my Unity peeps on the splitcoast board today...they have a new thing coming out called "Ippity" its a secret to be told today.

Ok peeps Im out about to enjoy this beautiful day with my little peeps, my windows are open, my house is as clean as its gonna get today, I might scrap and just do whatever crosses my mind..that of course doesn't cost any money.

A Beautiful day..and a Bella update

As I sit here in my lounge chair out on my deck and look up this s what I see........ Isn't that beautiful...and guess what I hear..the wind blowing the trees...and why because both kids are napping...can you say WHAT???? yep thats right..so I thought I would blog a bit..I know its been a while. So today Bella had her first appt. with Tennessee early Intervention, which is a group that will help if she is Autistic, they do great therapy to help her if she is accepted. So right now we are moving on to step 2. We are pretty sure she does have it, We had an appointment with the Bill Wilkerson Speech & Hearing back in the summer for her Hearing appointment that she passed, then we had a speech evaluation in sept. that she didn't do to well on, basically she doesn't hardly speak at all, she does say mommy, daddy occasionally and No and baby some times and a word or two here and there ...today and yesterday I swear she is saying hawaii..promise. We have an appointment at the Kennedy Center at Vanderbilt on November 10 to diagnose her if she is autistic. We will be starting speech therapy 1-2 times a week pretty soon where they will teach me how to use sign language to help her until she speaks. Everyone keeps telling me I am doing the right things and the earlier I catch this is will help in the long run....It is so hard to hear but I am staying strong and praying each and everyday that this will turn out for the best..afterall she is still perfect to me. I think the praying is really working because I have met 3 different people over the last couple of months that deal with this on a regular basis , Doug who also works at Vanderbilt, My next door neighbor Shawn has a son also, and Misty I girl I met at my yard sale on Saturday. Misty used to run a support group of Moms with Autistic children here in White House..how wonderful is that I have all of these people within my reach to help me.. I think God answered my prayers and is pointing me in the right direction...don't you think? So anywho I am trying my best to be postive and take each day as it comes, I know a lot of people are behind me (my Sister and Uncle Dave,My mom, & Ronnie's Mom) and want to help her as much as I do..and I thank you all for that..I am sure going to need you.This was bella scrapbooking with me a while back, and her at Chuck E Cheese on the Horse..she really liked this.

Well Tuesday was my first borns Birthday ..He was 4 do you believe that..so here are some pictures from his mini birthday party... He was so cute...and yes that is a number 1 on top of that cake...my total bad..but this is just his pre party..we are going to have one like the 1st or 2nd week of September when we unveil the new swing set we are getting them both together. Other things he has been such a good boy this week one morning I got up and went in his room and asked what he was doing..I am cleaning my room..dont you just love that..yuumm i could just eat him up, and he is a complete puzzle fanatic..the 24 piece puzzle he can work them all by himself..he just loves them..

So I want everyone to know that I am soooooooooo grateful for this 4 y/o I love him so much it hurts , I pray to God every night that I have these 2 special perfect gifts and Thank him for all he has given me and that I get to wake up each and every morning and be in this world with them and my Husband and Family.. Thank you God for that and giving me this life I have.

ok so like a year ago or so I did these post where I listed something I was grateful for..think I am gonna start this up again..its motivation for me to post..ya know..soo

Day 1... I am sooooo grateful for all the peas in my pod( you know my family)..my peeps.their health..thank you God for that... I know I am broke as all get out..but I am so grateful for the roof over our head and the food in our bellies ..if it is even for today.. I am grateful that my baby girl said yes and no this past week..not to answer one of my questions but to the tv..hey hey now its a start.
And a follow up on her speech..she took that hearing test and passed..so that was the 1st step ($300.00) next step is in Sept (its $600.00)can you say WOW!!! but if it gets her to talking it will be worth it.

Sleeping on Pooh's Belly

How sweet is this Baby Girl...my Boo Boo..she fell asleep on pooh's belly..She is growing so fast she is soooooooo tall, Yesterday she learned how to give kisses..you know when you kinda hum as your giving the peck..and gave me like a million..so so sweet..she has been a really good girl this week..err could have been that she was on Benedryl some...now that I think about probably was..lol..anywhoo she may have been bite by something Monday or during the night..but Tuesday i noticed a big red blotch on her forearm and she was rubbing it on her pants trying to scratch it..then wednesday it grew..so i called the Dr. aid to watch it and give benedryl and it looks better but it is still kinda red...also Dr.Huss called and has recommended her to a Speech thing..where they will come out and evaluate her to see if she has a delay with her speech since she doesn't talk..personally I think she just doesn't want to...she makes lots of noises but no words. Anyway just thought I woudl let you see this cutie and how she went to sleep tonight...nighty night Peeps

So here is the information I found reguarding my card drive. I am really excited about doing this and doing my part to help. Please let me know if you would like to participate. I will be adding a picture of my RAK I will be giving to someone (Random draw of course) you will get 1 entry per card recieved. so if you send in 10 cards you will get 10 entries. So below are some questions I think you may have reguarding what types of cards to send in. I got all of this information off of their website www.Cardsforheroes.org .

What could be better than doing what we love—making beautiful cards—and helping our nation's brave heroes at the same time?
Thousands of cardmakers across America are joining forces to share their gifts and talents to bless those deployed far from home, and in return are bringing smiles to families and friends across the country!

"What kind of cards do service members prefer?"We're told that general cards are in greatest demand since they are not time-sensitive: miss you, love, birthday, thinking of you, hello, thank you. They send cards to husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, children and friends, so any of these themes directed to any of these audiences are fabulous! *Note: we do include a few get well and sympathy cards, but they are not in high demand by our heroes.
"What kind of cards should I avoid sending?"No glitter that will flake off the card—it is a safety hazard; it can make a mess on a uniform and make a hero visible to night-vision goggles! Please do not send suggestive or risqué cards; we do not wish to offend any of our service members. Funny cards are okay, but keep them positive and upbeat. Avoid odd holiday sentiments—like "congratulations on your new kitten" or "welcome to the neighborhood."
"How many cards should I send in?"Any amount is fine—many donors send in just a few (under 10) while some send hundreds. All are welcome! Please don't pressure yourself to meet a high goal—remember to have fun! If meeting a goal becomes a mountain to climb or stifles your creativity, relax and remember the thousands of others who are helping out too . . . together we can do much without anyone feeling burdened!
"What holiday cards do you need?"We welcome cards for specific holidays - though please be aware it may take weeks to get to remote bases, and more weeks for mail to get back home. Cut-off dates are about 6 weeks prior to a holiday for that reason. Major holidays we focus on:
Valentine's Day
Easter
Mother's Day
Father's Day
Independence Day *lots of AnyHero cards please!
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas (longer lead time due to heavy mail traffic)
Cards for smaller holidays are sent, too (St Patrick's Day, Rosh Hashana, Hanukkah, Grandparent's Day, etc) but we focus on the major card-sending holidays.

"What size should my cards be?"Any size cards are welcome, but our preferred size is 4.25" x 5.5"; this size allows two cards to be made from one piece of letter-sized cardstock. That size also allows CFH to make the most of the flat-rate boxes for shipping when all the cards fit A2 envelopes.

"Can I use dark cardstock?"Yes, but please attach a liner inside (lighter colored paper). Our heroes may only have a bic pen or a pencil to write with, so please give them space and surface to write on.

"Can I make a lot of one design?"Absolutely! Your cards will be mixed with others' cards, so we are able to provide our deployed contacts with a great variety of designs. You'll see a lot of duplicates in the card gallery photos.

"Can I sign my name, hometown, and email address on the back of my cards?"Yes! Name and/or city, stamped or hand-written, any way you would like to do it. Please also write CARDSFORHEROES.ORG somewhere on the back if you can; we'd like to hear back from our heroes and their families at home, so sharing the web address will allow them to connect with us.

"Can I have a stamp made for the back of my cards?"Sure! You may have a custom stamp made with your name and the CARDSFORHEROES.ORG web address on it; Imagine Stamps offers acrylic stamps customized with your name at a reasonable cost. We've also used Vista Print for a self-inking stamp as well.

"Can my cards be heavily embellished?"This question usually refers to those with "lumpy" embellishments that can require extra postage. This is not a problem for our servicemen and servicewomen since cards are mailed for free for them.
"How do I know if my cards are good enough?"Any level of crafting, styles, and themes are welcome! We get a wide range, and mix them all together in each box, so there's someone sure to love every card.

"Do I need to send envelopes?"We have received generous donations of thousands of envelopes of all sizes—check The Mailroom for the current status of envelopes, or email the shipper you'll be sending to. (If you would like to send envelopes anyway, that makes our donations last longer, but feel free to save yourself some shipping costs!)

"Are store-bought/printed cards accepted?"No, but one of our partners, Operation Gratitude, would love to receive them for their twice-a-year collection for their care packages! Check with their website for dates and addresses.

"Do you want patriotic cards too?"Sure! We send some for our heroes to write on, others are used for AnyHero letters.

"Can I send in cards/letters written to our heroes?"Yes, AnyHero cards are always needed! Click here for more information.

"Can my kids participate?"Yes!! Please have your children make cards, draw pictures, and write messages inside for our heroes -they love to get letters from kids!! Please see our Scouts and Schools page, as well as our Kids Gallery!

okay ladies..a couple of months ago I made a promise I intended to keep..when I won my slice one of the things I said i would do was make cards for our overseas troops. So do you want to help me?.....I need your help if you do......I finally found a site that can help me get organized and send handmade cards to the troops ...Our Heros. So I am going to send a package in 6 weeks. I have contacted them to see if I can put some information on my blog to hold a drive... so start making your cards and lets see how many we can get.

it is amazing...I cried it was so good..Just wait until you get to the end and you will be too. I had 1.49 in my itunes bank....its gone now..but it was only .99..she was on Oprah today. Her name is Charice and the song is "A Note to God"...gave me goosebumps, she is only 17 years old. I just had to share. I think Oprah had a call for children with talent to send in a video ...and she did her own version of American Idol. It is really great ...you have to watch it all the way through.

I had a great birthday last week.. Thanks to all who sent me cards, FB wishes, and emails. I also had a good Mothers Day even though I had to work.. But today is a completely random day I looked in the window seal and saw these guys ..then without a kid around they were all laying down ..then next time I walked through again and they were all back up..and a crazy bat man..ran through...then he wanted me to be BatMan... he he he... so funny that little guy... Bella being her bouncy self. Hope everyone has a rest of a great day... whos watching the finale of Hells Kitchen tonight??? I will be .
